Connect with Employers and Industry
Make valuable connections with industry by engaging with employers and building your network.
With a range of events and programs available, you can always find new ways to connect with industry and find the pathway to your future.
-
Employer and industry events
As a student and graduate (up to one year after you complete your program) you have many opportunities to meet employers, recruiters and industry connections on campus, off-campus and virtually. We host industry and recruiters frequently throughout the year and upcoming events can be found on CareerHub.
-
Career Mentoring
If you want specific advice and guidance on your career pathway from an industry expert, you can join our structured mentoring program. Through mentoring you will be matched with a professional from your chosen industry and have the chance to develop real insights into the areas you're interested in, build career confidence and practice your networking skills. If you aren't able to commit to a full program but would like to learn how to approach your own mentor - we can help to guide you with that process too.
You can find a copy of the Career Access Mentoring handbook here.

Student society events
There are many student societies and clubs at the University of Adelaide and many run their own career and industry related events for students. Most societies and clubs share details of their career-related events through CareerHub and social media.
If you are not familiar with what is available, please visit the YouX website or ask your faculty.
If you are a member of a society and club and have an upcoming career-related event you'd like to advertise on CareerHub, or want to run your own event, please email the details through to careers@adelaide.edu.au.
Changes to Employer Events
Career Services and our Employer network are hosting a combination of digital and campus based events. Many employer events will be delivered via Zoom. Depending on the topic, your Zoom will be interactive either via webinar chat, Q&A or small-group interaction and breakout sessions within the virtual platform.
We look forward to offering more campus based events in the future. All event locations and online links are listed on the CareerHub platform.
We thank you for your understanding as some events change over time and strongly encourage you to book in and get virtual or campus face-time with our employer network.
