Talking with Aussies

AU

A volunteer program helping international students improve their English conversation skills

Talking with Aussies (TWA) is an award-winning program that has recently celebrated its 30th year of connecting international students with community volunteers for conversation, connection and cultural exchange.

This program links international students with volunteers from the community to help students practise their conversational English.

Our volunteers come from a range of ages and backgrounds and include students, retirees and working professionals. Students and volunteers chat one-on-one informally, for one hour each week, at a time of their choosing.

All current Adelaide University international students are welcome to apply to join TWA.

To apply as a volunteer for the TWA program, please read the Volunteer Role Description below.

If the role sounds like a good fit for you, email the TWA Coordinator at twa@adelaide.edu.au and she will then invite you to the next volunteer briefing session.
