Course overview
Building on foundational skills in industrial design visualisation, this course deepens students' expertise in CAD tools and techniques for creating virtual models of highly resolved, 3-dimensional products for use in varying contexts. Students will engage in complex projects focused on development, evaluation, documentation, and visualisation. The course enhances proficiency in capturing aesthetic intent, creating visual representations, and effectively communicating detailed design concepts, preparing students to apply their skills in professional industrial design practice.

Course learning outcomes
- Create 3D models using advanced CAD techniques to address design problems in a professional context.
- Produce high-quality visualisations of 3D models using CGI techniques for professional design communication.

- Refine CAD models to achieve controlled form, surface quality, and integrated design detail through surface modelling techniques.
- Communicate industrial design outcomes through visualisations and immersive technologies to present and evaluate design proposals.
