Course overview
To provide Bachelor of Agricultural Science students with the opportunity to undertake a structured, industry-aligned placement that develops their professional skills within the agriculture sector aligned to the course learning outcomes. Through the completion of 140 hours of placement in an approved setting and the maintenance of a reflective learning journal, students will consolidate their learnings and practical experience and enhance their professional readiness.

- Apply disciplinary and professional knowledge in a real-world agricultural workplace to contribute effectively to routine tasks, projects, or operations under supervision.
- Demonstrate appropriate workplace behaviours, including communication, teamwork, time management, and adherence to industry safety, ethical, and professional standards as appropriate to the specific sector of agriculture.
- Collect, document, and critically reflect on workplace experiences and learning in a structured reflective journal, identifying links between theory and practice in agriculture.
- Evaluate personal strengths, skill development, and career aspirations in relation to the agricultural industry, identifying areas for further professional growth and employability development.
