Course overview

The aim of this course is to equip students to understand and apply fundamental ecological concepts, analyse ecological problems using conceptual frameworks, grasp the basic requirements for designing ecological studies, interpret graphical and tabular data from ecological studies, demonstrate knowledge of basic statistical tools for data analysis, conduct literature searches in Ecology journals, and effectively communicate results of ecological studies with clarity and precision. This course enables the program’s provision of the experience with biological and scientific enquiry to include ecological systems on which humanity relies. By the end of the course, students are expected to apply fundamental ecological concepts and principles to analyse ecological problems, interpret data, and effectively communicate findings as per industry practice via scientific communication.

  • Species and Populations
  • Communities and Ecosystems
