Course overview

The aim of this course is to provide students with an advanced understanding of the nature of knowledge and its pursuit through research and, to equip them with the skills to demonstrate autonomy, expert judgement, adaptability and responsibility as a researcher. The course will develop in learners the ability to establish a research topic, review the current knowledge in a topic area, through a Literature Review and consider different research methodologies and methods that are appropriate to collect and analyse data. In addition, learners will develop skills in preparation of a research proposal and communication of research topic to varied audiences.

  • Demonstrate skills in research, critically evaluating relevant literature and analysing and synthesizing complex research concepts and information
