Students will commence an independent research project in the field of medical physics under academic supervision. The course aims to develop specialised knowledge and capabilities for independent scientific research.

  • Design, implement, and document scientific research to test hypotheses or develop new insights, maintaining accurate records and a robust data management plan.
  • Use specialised analytical, interpretation and evaluation skills and techniques necessary to carry out research in an advanced topic in medical physics.
  • Effectively present scientific research findings in both written and oral forms, tailoring communication to both specialist and general audiences.
  • Understand and apply ethical principles and regulatory requirements relevant to medical physics, and professional standards essential for conducting responsible scientific research.
