Course overview

The course aims to provide students with advanced knowledge and skills of modern quantity surveying practices. Building upon concepts of quantity surveying practices introduced earlier, the course delves into life cycle costing, value management, tax depreciation, insurance assessments, and ethics for the quantity surveying profession. By understanding advanced quantity surveying practices, learners will develop critical thinking, analytical thinking, effective communication, teamwork skills and ethical practice essential for modern and professional quantity surveying practice. This course aligns with the program’s intent to excel learners to become leading professional quantity surveyors.

Course learning outcomes

  • Synthesise knowledge in pre-contract quantity surveying services such as specialist procurement advice, value management processes, and tender evaluation & reporting.
