Course overview
This course develops students' advanced knowledge of the theory and practice of negotiation, including the processes and subprocesses, strategies and tactics that can be applied to achieve mutually beneficial agreements. This course combines collaborative and individual exercises that are theoretical and practical. These exercises allow students to reflect on negotiation experiences and outcomes and develop a reflective praxis, which are essential to constructing knowledge around negotiations and their dynamics as real-life phenomena. By adopting a problem-solving approach, this course gives students competencies and skills to understand, apply, analyse, evaluate, and develop negotiation plans, which are grounded in robust preparation and research. Students are assessed through a project and reflection.
