Course overview
The purpose of the final research project is to take the learning out of the classroom and into the workplace and/or wider world through a research project using supervisor-based learning and the knowledge acquired in the Research for Managers course. Students are able to work in teams (from two to three students) or one-on-one with supervisors. The research project will involve conducting research, carrying out analysis, preparing a report, and making a final presentation. The student/s would submit a proposal at the end of the Research for Managers for approval, and so that a supervisor can be assigned. The Research Project capstone consists of two courses: Research Project Part A (BUSI 6052) and Research Project Part B (BUSI 6053). These courses must be taken consecutively. That is, if you start Research Project Part A in one teaching period, you must complete Research Project Part B in the next teaching period. Accordingly you cannot enrol in Part B without having satisfactorily completed Part A with the requisite approval of the Ethics forms.
