Course overview

This course aims to enhance students' ability to design and conduct rigorous research within the field of International Business. The course is structured in two sequential components, with the research problem identified in Part A being further refined and explored in Research in International Business - Part B. Students will gain practical experience in secondary data collection and analysis, enabling them to evaluate their findings against established International Business theory and literature. Through oral presentations and written research report, students will apply the knowledge acquired throughout the course and develop their capacity to communicate research outcomes in a professional International Business context.

Course learning outcomes

  • Demonstrate ability to apply appropriate data collection methods to gather secondary data for investigating International Business research questions.
  • Apply analytical techniques (quantitative, qualitative, or mixed methods) to interpret data and derive meaningful insights in International Business contexts.
  • Critically evaluate research findings in relation to existing International Business theory and literature, demonstrating the ability to assess validity, reliability, and limitations.
  • Communicate research outcomes effectively through oral presentation and research report that meets professional standards and contributes to International Business knowledge.
