Course overview

The aim of the course is to introduce students from a non-science background to the basic concepts of science; focussing on the biosciences areas of biology and including some fundamental chemistry.

Course learning outcomes

  • Demonstrate comprehension of biological concepts and principles
  • Define scientific terms
  • Demonstrate an ability to analyse scientific data and scholarly sources
