Course learning outcomes

  • Refine English language skills relevant to studies in tertiary contexts
  • Understand and apply knowledge of structure, argument, register and authorial voice, as well as appropriate techniques for referencing
  • Analyse, evaluate and synthesize data from primary and secondary source materials
  • Understand and implement ethical academic protocols in the creation of assessment submissions, including the use of AI
  • Identify avenues for improving engagement with tertiary learning, including the evaluation of feedback.
