Course learning outcomes
- Advanced understanding of polymer theory, properties and principles in engineering applications.
- Ability to distinguish and evaluate composites and nanocomposites for targeted engineering applications.
- Understanding and application of advanced electrical and optical materials in electronics and photonics.
- Ability to evaluate and select light metals and ceramics for specific engineering applications.
- Ability to evaluate biomaterials for medical use, focusing on biocompatibility, degradability and ethics.
- Demonstrates capability to recommend materials based on polymer and composite processing knowledge.
