Course overview
This course aims to provide guidance in the practical design and sizing of typical process equipment items encountered in industrial processes, combined with an introduction to process synthesis and simulation.
Key concepts relevant to the professional practice of chemical engineering are presented, including fundamental elements of process economics and safety, together with the provision of utilities in process plants.
This course aligns with the program’s intent to demonstrate a chemical engineering body of knowledge and to apply this knowledge along with critical thinking, creativity, and innovation to solve complex problems relevant to industrial process design.
