Course overview
This course aims to equip students with the skills to navigate strategic challenges in international markets. Emphasising a strategic perspective, it examines conceptual frameworks explaining the interplay between business environments and global strategies. Through applied research projects, students analyse key strategic decisions, such as market selection and expansion, organisational structures, thereby enhancing their ability to address real-world challenges. The course explores how Multinational Enterprises (MNEs) leverage capabilities for competitive advantage, covering topics such as market assessment, competitive strategies, competition and collaborations, and corporate governance. Utilising problem-based learning and case studies, it provides practical insights for strategic decision-making in International Business.
