Course overview
The course explores different dimensions of culture and how these dimensions can differentiate one culture from another. The course also considers cultural impacts in the workplace in areas such as communication, negotiation, values and ethical conduct, and provides a greater understanding of why people behave as they do and how this behaviour affects business. Management is considered in global and cross-cultural environments through contemporary management and leadership theories and practices. With a clear emphasis on learning and development, the course encourages students to acquire skills in multicultural competence that will be highly valued by their future employers. In a world where practices and expectations can differ significantly across national and regional boundaries, this has never been more important.
