Course overview

Interior Architecture Studio (Materials) explores the relationship between people and their environments, focusing on habitation, occupation, and enclosure. Students will examine spatial relationships and core design principles that define interior spaces. A key aspect of this studio is understanding the balance between space, materials, and the processes driving the creative imagining and realisation of interior design.

Through the integration of theory and practice, students will enhance their understanding of spatial planning, dynamics, and composition. By analysing and applying material qualities, processes and production techniques, students will develop a thoughtful and sustainable approach to designing and transforming interior spaces.

  • Interior Ingredients (materials)
  • Material Matters (processes)
  • Spatial Shaping (planning)
