Course overview
This course is designed for learners at a post-introductory level. It will extend learners’ proficiency in spoken and written Greek, and expand their intercultural knowledge of Greek language and culture, and the influence of Greek and Greek traditions globally, through engagement with contemporary topics and concepts relevant to learners, explored through multimodal interactive content.

Course learning outcomes
- Demonstrate post-introductory level skills in speaking and writing Greek
- Demonstrate sound knowledge of grammatical and sociolinguistic concepts and topics covered in the course
- Comprehend meaning and respond effectively to diverse text types, with increasingly complex and culturally appropriate language
- Evaluate and reflect critically on contemporary Greek language, culture and social themes presented in the course
- Demonstrate awareness of cultural similarities and differences between Greek and other languages, reflecting on self as a user of Greek language in social contexts
