The Real Estate Practice course aims to equip students with the knowledge essential for establishing and managing a real estate agency, and effectively marketing various real estate, including complex commercial and industrial properties. Key objectives include understanding real estate marketing, business management principles, and statutory and ethical requirements for roles like Agent, Property Manager, and Sales Representative. The course builds upon foundational knowledge from prior property studies, fostering critical thinking and independent argumentation. While focusing on South Australian legislation, it also explores universal principles applicable across real estate agencies globally, providing a comprehensive understanding of the industry.

Course learning outcomes
- Evaluate the market for real estate services and demonstrate an understanding of the requirements for setting up and managing a real estate agency.
- Demonstrate an understanding on transactional process, select appropriate sales methods and marketing plans, and apply analytical insights.
- Apply an understanding of the main obligations of the Land Agent under the South Australian legislation and its regulations, or the appropriate legislation in the State or Country in which the student intends to practice.
- Determine appropriate ethical responses to situational dilemmas, including the representational dilemma.
