- Examine what it means to be a health professional and registered nurse in Australia and internationally
- Demonstrate the range of literacies that inform health care and underpin safe nursing practice
- Describe the professional, legal, and ethical requirements that underpin healthcare and nursing practice
- Describe the concepts of person-centred nursing
- Describe the relationship between evidence-based practice and safety and quality in healthcare
- Describe the communication skills required for safe practice and interdisciplinary teamwork in a health care environment
