Course overview

This course provides students with the opportunity to learn to negotiate and undertake an independent or collaborative clinical project that addresses a specific issue/problem relevant to their practice role or setting.

Course learning outcomes

  • Critically identify and justify a clinically relevant project aimed at addressing a specific practice issue or problem.
  • Formulate a comprehensive project proposal and independently navigate unit and organisational governance and approval processes.
  • Independently plan, implement, and manage all phases of the approved project, demonstrating professional judgement, initiative and accountability.
  • Critically analyse and formally report on the project processes and outcomes, demonstrating advanced clinical insight and reflective practice.
