Course overview
This course provides a background in physics knowledge and skills in the areas of mechanics, electricity, magnetism, waves, and modern physics at a pre-university level to enable further study in physics and physics allied disciplines.
A practical program will introduce students to experimental skills, record-keeping and fundamentals of observations, measurements and analysis in physics.

Course learning outcomes
- Use the fundamental laws, principles, and concepts in physics to describe, explain and predict the qualitative behaviour of simple physical systems.
- Use structured problem-solving techniques to analyse and solve problems involving simple physical systems quantitatively.
- Work in a team to solve problems and conduct experimental work.
- Apply standard measurement and data analysis techniques when conducting experimental work.
- Document and explain experimental work, including any conclusions drawn.
