Course learning outcomes
- Develop a research plan, based on analysis of scientific literature demonstrating a detailed physical understanding of an advanced topic in physics.
- Design, implement, and document scientific research to test hypotheses or develop new insights, maintaining accurate records and a robust data management plan.
- Use specialised analytical, interpretation and evaluation skills and techniques necessary to carry out research in an advanced topic in physics.
- Effectively present scientific research findings in both written and oral forms, tailoring communication to both specialist and general audiences.
- Understand and apply ethical principles and regulatory requirements relevant to physics, and professional standards essential for conducting responsible scientific research.
