Course overview
This course aims to build on professional practice knowledge gained in first and second year courses by developing student’s knowledge and practical skills in the assessment and management of upper limb neuromusculoskeletal conditions. Emphasis will be placed on developing evidence informed, client centred practice, incorporating clinical reasoning and an introductory knowledge of contemporary pain management concepts. Within this, student will develop competency in upper limb assessment and intervention techniques, including manual therapy and exercise therapy and the safe application of electrotherapeutic modalities for a range of therapeutic aims.
