The scholarship is awarded annually to two high achieving students enrolled concurrently in the Bachelor of Aviation (Pilot) and the Graduate Diploma in Aviation.
 
Value: Each scholarship is worth $3,000.

The payment will be made in one instalment following Semester 1 census date.

Eligibility

Eligible programs include:

Bachelor of Aviation (Pilot) (BAVIA), and the Graduate Diploma of Aviation (GDAVI) concurrently.

Essential Criteria for applicants include:

  • Be a current student studying full-time in the Bachelor of Aviation (Pilot) and the Graduate Diploma in Aviation at Adelaide University.
  • Must be an Australian citizen, Permanent Residents of Australia, Holder of Permanent Humanitarian Visa.
  • be in the second or third year of their degree in Semester 1, 2026
  • Have completed a minimum of 42 units in the Bachelor of Aviation (Pilot major) and achieved a minimum of a credit average (GPA of 5 or above) in their program
  • Have completed a minimum of 8 units in the Graduate Diploma of in Aviation.

Selection criteria

  • Submit a personal statement of no more than 500 words addressing how receiving this scholarship will assist you in achieving your career aspirations in the aviation industry. You might include your interest in aviation, commitment to becoming a pilot and your career objectives.

 

The applicant’s academic student history, flying training history including lesson reports and instructor’s comments and observations will also be considered.

Important information

Two scholarships will be awarded each academic year: One for a student in their second year and one in their third-year level of degree, each valued at $3,000 for one year.

The successful applicants will also receive complimentary membership to the Australian Federation of Pilots and access to the Leading Edge mentoring program.

Previous recipients of this scholarship are not eligible to apply.
