Eligibility
General eligibility requirements include:
• Applicants must hold Australian citizenship (by birth or naturalization).
• Applicants must not have already commenced study or research in the U.S.
• Australian degree-seeking students must begin their program in the Fall Semester (July/August).
• Research applicants must secure a letter of invitation with a primary U.S. host institution before applying (not required for postgraduate degree-seeking applicants).
Academic Qualifications:
• Applicants must have completed an undergraduate degree or equivalent at the time of application.
• Final-year undergraduate students can apply, provided they are in good academic standing.
• Postdoctoral applicants must provide proof of PhD conferral before the program start (a letter from an adviser is acceptable during the application phase).
• Undergraduate applicants who haven’t yet graduated must upload an official university transcript showing academic performance to date.

Selection criteria
High academic and professional merit
Demonstrated through academic records, professional standing and recognition, publications, exhibitions, performances, public lectures, or presentations.
Strong program proposal
Successful applicants propose a program that is feasible within the allocated time and is relevant / beneficial to their chosen field. Proposals will have clearly defined goals and further mutual understanding and institutional partnerships /collaboration between the United States and Australia.
Defined potential outcomes
Define the potential benefits to the applicant’s institution, profession, employer and/or industry and outline how results will be disseminated.

• A study/research program proposal
• A personal statement
• A resume/CV
• Letter of Invitation (unless you are a degree-seeking student)
• PDF copies of your academic transcripts, passport or birth certificates. These do not need to be certified.
