The John Bray Alumni Network is a representative body of the School of Law. Its objectives include fostering ongoing professional development of law graduates; encouraging and promoting the Law School as a source of relevant legal education; encouraging achievement of the highest academic standards and encouraging broad access to the Law School by supporting students from diverse backgrounds.
The Scholarship was established by the John Bray Alumni Network to support students undertaking a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) or Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice program of study.

Value: $5,000 to be paid in two instalments.
Eligibility
To be eligible to apply for this scholarship you must:
- Be undertaking the final year of the Bachelor of Laws or Bachelor of Laws (Honours) program at the Adelaide University
- Be enrolled in the Bachelor of Laws or Bachelor of Laws (Honours) in semester 1 and enrolled in either the Bachelor of Laws, Bachelor of Law (Honours) or Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice in semester 2
- Be an Australian Citizen or permanent resident of Australia
- Be enrolled on a full-time basis in a Commonwealth Supported Place
- Demonstrate you are in financial need*
* Applicants must demonstrate financial need and provide supporting documentary evidence at the time of application, e.g. details of income tested Commonwealth income support payment, such as Youth Allowance, Austudy, ABSTUDY benefits, or other details of their financial circumstances.
Selection criteria
Selection of the successful candidate will be made according to:
- Academic merit (GPA)
- Financial need
- Answers to questions on the application form

- The Scholarship must be taken up in the year in which it is offered
