The Frank Perry Research Travel Scholarship was established in 1974 using funds from the Frank and Hilda Perry Trust. The travel scholarship is to support Graduate Research candidates in engineering to undertake interstate or overseas travel to present at a peer-reviewed conference.

The Scholarship is only to be used towards travel costs, specifically conference registration, flights and accommodation. The Scholarship is not available for ‘virtual’ conferences, only for physical travel.

Successful applicants will receive funding to a value determined by the selection committee based on the application provided.

Eligibility

To be eligible to apply for this scholarship, you must:

  • be enrolled in a Graduate Research program at the University in the area of Engineering; and
  • be enrolled in the second year of a Master of Philosophy, or the second or third year of a Doctor of Philosophy; and
  • have successfully completed relevant candidature milestones.

Selection criteria

The scholarship will be awarded via a competitive selection process managed by the Adelaide University Graduate Research School, based on academic merit, research potential, benefit of the outlined travel to the applicant’s Graduate Research program, and relevance to engineering.
