An award supporting international students commencing undergraduate or postgraduate coursework degrees. Recipients are offered a 10% tuition fee reduction and the award is automatically assessed and granted to students who have a sibling that is either currently studying, or is an alumnus of, Adelaide University .

This scholarship supports international students commencing undergraduate or postgraduate coursework degrees.

Eligibility

To be eligible for this scholarship you must:

  1. be an international student
  2. be applying to study a CRICOS registered bachelor degree (minimum 72 units / 1.5 years equivalent) after the application of any credit/RPL, or a CRICOS registered master degree (minimum 48 units / 1 year equivalent) after the application of any credit/RPL, at Adelaide University;
  3. be a sibling of a current student/s or alumnus of Adelaide University or foundation institutions, the University of Adelaide and University of South Australia;
  4. not be applying to study one of the Excluded Programs (see below);
  5. not be an Australia Awards recipient; and
  6. not be an International Sponsored Student entitled to a tuition fee waiver equal to or greater than the scholarship value, in which case the fee waiver amount will apply.

Selection criteria

  • Sibling means a person who shares at least one biological, adoptive or other legal parent with another person, including full siblings (i.e. share the same biological, adoptive or other legal parents), half-siblings (i.e. share at least one biological, adoptive or legal parent), step siblings (i.e. siblings whose relationship arises as a result of the marriage of their biological, adoptive, or other legal parent) and adoptive siblings (i.e. whose relationship arises through the legal adoption of one or both siblings).
  • This scholarship is not limited to one member of a certain family such that an applicant will not be ineligible for this Scholarship if another one of their siblings has accepted this scholarship. The University will require documentary evidence, as required, to verify and determine eligibility at its discretion.

Important information

  • A student cannot receive both a scholarship and a sponsorship tuition fee waiver concurrently. 
  • This scholarship cannot be combined with any of the merit-based scholarships.

How to apply

No scholarship application is required.
When you or your Education Agent submit an application to study, Adelaide University will automatically assess your eligibility for the scholarship upon receipt of documentary evidence to verify and determine eligibility.
If you are successful, you will be awarded the scholarship on your Offer of Admission, and your tuition fees will be reduced.
