The Muriel Faulkner Simms Research Scholarship in Therapeutics provides support for Graduate Research students undertaking postgraduate research study in the branch of medicine known as therapeutics.
The successful applicant of this major scholarship will receive a stipend of $45,000 per annum, paid fortnightly for up to 2 years Master of Philosophy (MPhil) or 3.5 years Doctor of Philosophy (PhD)
Eligibility
To be eligible to apply for this scholarship, you must:
- be an Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident, or international student;
- be enrolled in a Graduate Research degree at the University, undertaking postgraduate research in the branch of medicine known as therapeutics*.
*For the purpose of these rules, therapeutics is a subset of medical studies and is defined as the study of the principles and procedures used in preventing and treating illness, disease and injury in humans, including alleviating symptoms. Examples are the use of drugs, devices and nutritional interventions. Therapeutics excludes the health sciences disciplines of nursing, pharmacy, dental studies, optical science, public health, radiography, rehabilitation therapies, allied health and psychology.
Selection criteria
The scholarship will be awarded via a competitive selection process managed by the Adelaide University Graduate Research School, based on academic merit, research potential, benefit to the applicant’s graduate research program and relevance to therapeutic medicine.How to apply
