The National Pharmacies Community Regional Placement Scholarship is available to 2nd year students who enrolled in a Bachelor of Pharmacy (Honours).
Value: $22,500
Scholarship recipients will receive the following payments:
Each year for a maximum of 2 years:
$4‚500.00 after the Semester 1 census date
$4,500 after the Semester 2 census date
In addition to the Scholarship, a one-off payment of $4,500 will be made upon acceptance of a placement at a National Pharmacies pharmacy in a regional location.
The Scholarship will provide assistance with education and living costs for two years of the approved program for which the recipient is offered the Scholarship, subject to the student maintain a Grade Point Average of 4.0 (pass average) for the duration of the Scholarship.

Eligibility
To be eligible for the grant‚ applicants must:
⦁ be an Australian Citizen‚ Permanent Resident of Australia‚ Holder of a Permanent Humanitarian Visa, New Zealand Citizen or International Student
⦁ be a continuing second year student enrolled full-time or part-time in the Bachelor of Pharmacy (Honours) program
⦁ have an interest in community pharmacy and desire to work as a community pharmacist upon graduation
⦁ have a cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of 4.5 or above
⦁ provide a written statement addressing the points listed below
⦁ submit a copy of their Curriculum Vitae
Selection criteria
a) Academic merit demonstrated by a cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of 4.5 or above)
b) A written statement of 500-750 words detailing:
▪ reasons for studying the Bachelor of Pharmacy (Honours) program;
▪ future career goals within the pharmacy industry, including any interest in community pharmacy;
▪ how the grant and placement opportunity would assist in achieving their goals;
▪ any previous and current work experience relevant to pharmacy and/or the retail industry;
▪ community involvement, extracurricular activities and interests;
▪ academic achievements; and
▪ willingness to attend pharmacy placement in a regional area
c) A current Curriculum Vitae (CV)
d) Demonstrated interest in and commitment to undertake a regional community pharmacy placement with National Pharmacies.
Shortlisted candidates will attend an online interview.
Important information
Preference may be given to applicants whose permanent home address is located in a regional, rural or remote area of Australia, as determined by their home postcode using the Health Workforce Locator Remoteness Area classification, excluding locations classified as Major Cities of Australia.
Students in receipt of other Adelaide University Scholarships or government-sponsorship grants and scholarships may apply for this Scholarship, however, they are not eligible to receive other corporate-sponsored community pharmacy scholarships.
