In 2026, the South Australian Museum a grant for graduate researchers undertaking earth science projects in South Australia that make use of the Museum’s mineral collections.
This grant is generously supported by the Simpson Fund, in partnership with the South Australian Museum.
The successful applicant will receive a once off lump sum of $9,000.
Eligibility
To be eligible to apply for this grant, you must:
- be an Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident, New Zealand citizen, Permanent Humanitarian visa holder, or international student; and
- have commenced or be eligible to commence a Graduate Research program in the year for which the Grant is being awarded at Adelaide University; and
- be undertaking research in the area of Earth Sciences, based in South Australia, and demonstrate meaningful engagement with the SA Museum mineral collections.
Selection criteria
The grant will be awarded via a competitive selection process managed by the Adelaide University Graduate Research School, based on academic merit, research potential, benefit to the applicant’s graduate research program and relevance to Earth Sciences.How to apply
