Application Dashboard
Congratulations on setting up multi-factor authentication (MFA) at the University.
Using MFA at the University help us protect our systems and data from unwanted cyber attacks.
Your Okta dashboard has tiles for some of the commonly used University systems. You can access the dashboard and these single sign-on integrated systems at https://id.adelaide.edu.au
While you are in the dashboard, you may want to become familiar with some of the other features, and set up a backup or secondary MFA option. This can be used to assist you with restoring or accessing your account, should you get locked out, or get a new phone or phone number.
Settings
Click the arrow next to your name (top right hand corner) and from the drop-down menu, click settings.
Changing Personal Details
In settings you will see multiple fields with information such as your name. You are not able to edit these fields and the information comes directly from PeopleSoft. If you need these changed, staff member can update personal details through Staff Services Online and students can update personal details in MyAdelaide. For further support with this, staff and students can contact ITDS Service Desk, or students can seek further advice from Ask Adelaide.
Changing your authentication options
If you would like to change or set up one of your MFA options, you can do this from within settings. Simply scroll down to the authentication options, and either click to Remove or Set up. We strongly recommend having at least two MFA options set up, as this can be used to assist you with restoring or accessing your account, should you get locked out, or get a new phone or phone number.
Setting or changing your security image
If you haven't already set your security image up, we strongly recommend that you do. Your security image becomes your profile image for MFA, which is the little circle on the sign-in page. Checking your MFA profile image is another way that you can verify that the platform you are signing into with your University user name and password is a legitimate site.
Apps on the Dashboard
If you have tiles with your apps / systems on your dashboard screen, you can click on them to go directly into them. The amount of tiles you have on your dashboard will change as more of our University systems are integrated with MFA.
Change password
In your settings, you are NOT able to change your University password. If you would like to change your University password, please visit the Manage My Account page.
