Dr Dominic Mcafee wins Fresh Science competition

Hosted by the The British Elephant Pub, ten early-career scientists shared the story of their science.

Ten Fresh Scientists revealed their discoveries using rhyme and reason in the time it took for a sparkler to burn. Dr Mcafee - a new member of the Environment Institute was voted best speaker.

Dr Dominic Mcafee is a marine ecologist with a special interest in shellfish ecology. His research is heavily focused on applied marine conservation management and restoration ecology. Much of his research has focused on the capacity of wild oyster populations to protect coastal biodiversity from the extremities of climate change. He is heavily involved in Windara Reef, the shellfish restoration reef in South Australia.

Congratulations Dr Mcafee.
