Ambassador of Italy visits Waite Campus
On Friday 6 November, Her Excellency Ms Francesca Tardioli, Ambassador of Italy, accompanied by Mr Adriano Stendardo, Consul of Italy in South Australia, visited the University of Adelaide’s Waite Campus for a briefing and tour showcasing our world-class research in the School of Agriculture, Food and Wine.
Welcoming Her Excellency to Waite campus was Professor Laura Parry, Interim Executive Dean, Faculty of Sciences; Professor Martin Cole, Head of School, School of Agriculture, Food and Wine; Professor Matthew Gilliham, Director Waite Research Institute; Professor Vladimir Jiranek, Professor in Oenology; Associate Professor Christopher Ford, Associate Professor, School of AFW; and Dr Glen Stafford, Director, Internationalisation Strategy.
Joining the Ambassador on the tour of our research facilities and historic Waite House were members of the University’s Italian community: Dr Roberta De Bei, Postdoctoral Research Fellow, School of Agriculture, Food and Wine; and students Pietro Previtali, Carla Virdis and Caterina Selva.
