University of Adelaide hosts inaugural SA Falling Walls Lab competition
The University of Adelaide's Global Engagement Team recently hosted the inaugural South Australian Falling Walls Lab competition.
The event, which started in Germany with the Falling Walls Foundation, provides an opportunity for students, researchers and early-career professionals to share their scientific and entrepreneurial visions to solve grand challenges, help shape a more sustainable future, and highlight how their work was breaking down walls.
The event showcased the work of five short-listed speakers selected from ten applications.
Congratulations to the three finalists - Andrew Mencel, Sahand Karimi-Arpanahi and Ellie Treloar - who will compete at a national event in Canberra alongside other state winners.
The winner of the Australian event will travel to Berlin for the international final in November.
