University of Adelaide participating in the 4th cohort of the APWiL Mentoring Program
The Asia Pacific Women in Leadership (APWiL) Mentoring Program offers international and intercultural opportunities for the empowerment, professional growth, and development of aspiring women leaders within the Association of Pacific Rim Universities (APRU).
Through one-on-one mentorship, as well as seminars and hands-on workshops featuring diverse leaders, participants can explore tools and strategies for overcoming barriers to women's leadership.
As an active member of APRU, the University of Adelaide has two mentees and two mentors participating in the 4th cohort of the APWiL Mentoring Program:
Dr Esma Dogramaci, a Senior Lecturer in Orthodontics at the Adelaide Dental School, University of Adelaide, will be mentored by Dr Tanya Forneris, who is an Associate Professor of Teaching and the Interim Director of the School of Health and Exercise Sciences at the University of British Columbia.
Associate Professor Zohra Lassi, who holds a position as an Associate Professor and Senior Research Fellow at the Robinson Research Institute and School of Public Health, University of Adelaide, will be mentored by Professor Margaret Ip, a Professor, Chairperson, and Honorary Consultant in the Department of Microbiology at the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
Dr Dilcar Joali Paredes Mariño, a Research Fellow in the School of Environment at the University of Auckland, will be mentored by Professor Kerry Wilkinson, who is a Professor of Oenology in the Department of Wine Science (or School of Agriculture, Food and Wine) at the University of Adelaide.
Dr Sonia Lin, the Associate Program Director for Internal Medicine Residency in the Department of Medicine at the University of Southern California, will be mentored by Associate Professor Tania Crotti, who is an Associate Professor in the Department of Medical Sciences at the University of Adelaide.
