University of Adelaide welcomes new cohort of sponsored students
The University of Adelaide recently held a special event welcoming a new cohort of sponsored students to its campuses.
The University of Adelaide has a number of highly-valued sponsorship arrangements with foreign government and non-government organisations, industry and corporate partners, as well as with the Australian Government through the Australia Awards Scholarship program.
In Semester 2 2024, over 40 sponsored students from Saudi Arabia (Saudi Arabian Cultural Mission), Malaysia (JPA - Jabatan Perkhidmatan Awam), Thailand (Royal Thai Embassy) and Indonesia (LPDP/Indonesian Endowment Fund for Education) will commence their studies at the University of Adelaide, joining a student body of more than 30,000 students, including over 9,000 international students from over 100 countries around the world.
The students will be studying a range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses, including a Bachelor of Computer Science, Bachelor of Food and Nutrition Science, Master of Public Policy, Master of Materials Engineering, and Master of Education.
At a special welcome event, the students were encouraged to enjoy the full student experience offered by the University of Adelaide – both academically and beyond the classroom.
The University of Adelaide is home to a vibrant and diverse campus community, with many opportunities for international students to get involved in campus life, make friends, and participate in campus activities and services such as:
