The IPAS start-ups showcase followed the update of university commercialisation and support to start-ups by Dr Stephen Rodda - Executive Director, Innovation and Commerialisation.
Controlling light propagation in multimode fibers

A multimode optical fiber subjected to random mode and polarization mixing represents a complex photonic system with strong coupling of spatial, temporal, spectral and polarization degrees of freedom.

In-fiber gas-phase nanostructuring and dispersion control for non-classical light sources

The last IPAS seminar of the year is welcoming Prof Fetah Benabid - a CNRS director of research and honorary professor at the university Western Australia (Australia). He is the group founder and leader of Gas-Phase Photonic and Microwave Materials (GPPMM) at the CNRS UMR Xlim, Limoges, France. A group founded in the UK and fully transferred to Limoges. Fetah Benabid is also the founder and NE-CTO/CSO of GLOphotonics, market leader in hollow-core fibers for industrial applications.
