Global-X Challenge Award is designed to discover, disrupt and ultimately provide a catalyst for development and delivery of new capabilities.
A team of researchers from the University of Adelaide, RMIT, Uni Melbourne, DSTG and UniSA, was one of four selected to share 1.5 million in funding. IPAS member, Prof Heike Ebendorff-Heidepriem, as part of the winning consortium led by RMIT, will work closely with the team to demonstrate a robust quantum-limited diamond-fiber magnetometer that may achieve nanotesla sensitivity for long-term, wide area maritime surveillance.
Congratulations to Prof Ebendorff-Heidepriem and all collaborators.
