Safeguarding Australia’s military secrets
The Australian government passed the Defence Amendment Safeguarding Australia’s Military Secrets Act (SAMS), which will be enforced from 7 August 2024. The legislation requires certain Australian citizens and permanent residents to have a Foreign Work Authorisation (FWA) when working for or providing military-related training to a foreign military or foreign government body (including foreign public universities). Individuals have a personal obligation to obtain the FWA. Advance HE Fellows
Dr Samantha Newell, Dr Zaneta Smith, Associate Professor Mathew White, Mr John Murphy, Dr Matthew Arnold, Dr Natasha van Antwerpen, Dr Sarah Halliday, Dr Peta Callaghan, and Dr Kym Teh have received the Advance HE Fellowship in recognition of their reflective and effective professional practice in teaching and support of learning so far this year.
Fitness Hub group fitness classes

Adelaide University pop-up at Waite campus
New Adelaide University branded lanyards were provided to staff at the Convention Centre event and will be distributed across our campuses for those who couldn’t attend. A final pop-up for staff to collect their new Adelaide University lanyard will be at Beltana Café, Waite campus, 11 am–1 pm this Tuesday 13 August.
