Writing workshop: Commendations for the Enhancement and Innovation of Student Learning

Australia-Japan Foundation Grants Program 2024-25
Applications are now open for the Australia-Japan Foundation Grants Program 2024-25 with ~$780,000 available in the funding pool. The Australia-Japan Foundation is Australia's oldest cultural council supporting people-to-people links underpinning this key bilateral and regional relationship. Apply before 1.30 pm Wednesday 21 August.

Adelaide University campus pop-ups
New Adelaide University branded lanyards were provided to staff at the Convention Centre event and will be distributed across our campuses for those who couldn’t attend. Adelaide metro campus pop-ups for staff to collect their new Adelaide University lanyard continue this week.
Adelaide University email signature blocks and resources
Following the market launch of Adelaide University, a range of helpful resources have been developed to support continued engagement and conversations with key audiences, including key messages, FAQs, and email signature blocks.

Institutional awards for learning and teaching
The Stephen Cole the Elder Awards for Excellence are the University of Adelaide’s premier learning and teaching awards. All applications must be supported by a formal nomination by 9 am Monday 26 August. The Commendations for the Enhancement and Innovation of Student Learning applications are due by Tuesday 1 October.

Australian Government data on Dataplace
The Australian Government has launched Dataplace and the associated Australian Government Data Catalogue, establishing new pathways for finding, requesting and negotiating access to government data assets for research and development. The University of Adelaide achieved accreditation as a User in early June 2024. More information.
Enter the Images of Learning and Teaching competition
Entries are still open for the Images of Learning and Teaching competition. Photographic entries from all staff and students, across all Faculties, are encouraged to help us celebrate the diversity, innovation and creativity of our teaching and learning at the University of Adelaide.

Festival of Learning and Teaching
Impact through inclusion and innovation. All staff who teach or support learning are invited to submit proposals for the Festival of Learning and Teaching on Thursday 31 October. International Fellows Award applications closing soon
Applications for round 2 of the 2024 International Fellows Award close at 5 pm Monday 19 August. Three $20,000 Fellowships are available to support globally recognised researchers to visit our University for collaborative research projects. More information.

Advance HE Fellows
Dr Samantha Newell, Dr Zaneta Smith, Associate Professor Mathew White, Mr John Murphy, Dr Matthew Arnold, and Dr Kym Teh have received the Advance HE Fellowship in recognition of their reflective and effective professional practice in teaching and support of learning so far this year.
