Information Management and Governance
The revised Information Management and Governance Policy was approved by the Vice-Chancellor and President on 5 August 2024. Concurrently approved is a new Information Management and Governance Framework. Together they articulate a consistent enterprise-wide approach guided by a key set of information principles, best-practice standards, and legal and regulatory obligations.
Research Centres and Research Institutes Framework
Feedback is sought from the University community on draft revisions to the Research Centres and Research Institutes Framework and procedures. Feedback and comments can be submitted via the draft policies page by close of business Friday 6 September.

The University health challenge begins Monday 19 August. Sign up now or enter a team to increase your daily activity and have your steps contribute to the University tally competing against other universities in Australia. More information.
Research small equipment support scheme
The Research Small Equipment Support Scheme supports researchers with funding for the purchase and maintenance of small, high-quality research equipment. Between $5,000 and $15,000 may be funded for the purchase of single items of new research equipment which may include additions, repair or maintenance to existing pieces of equipment. Applications are open until Monday 30 September. Further information.
Reminder: Research Strategy Virtual Forum
Spotlight on Personal and Societal Health. The Research and Research Training Domain invites staff from the University of South Australia and the University of Adelaide to a virtual forum on Friday 16 August, to learn more about Adelaide University’s overall research strategy, and the Signature Research Theme of Personal and Societal Health.

AU Systems progress – seeking your assistance with updating staff information
Central to the transition to Adelaide University is the design and build of IT systems to properly support its operations, staff and students and help ensure as smooth a transition as possible from UoA and UniSA. Following selection of our future information technology systems, a detailed plan has been developed to support the safe and secure transition and future transfer of staff records to the Adelaide University HR system.

Open Day volunteers
To ensure a successful Open Day event, the University needs volunteers. There is a variety of roles available across the North Terrace campus and the Adelaide Health and Medical Sciences building. This includes volunteering in the Welcome Hubs, Maths Lawns Marquee, Q&A sessions and taking tours. Registrations close 6 August, 5 pm.
Open Day bump in
Open Day 2024 is on Sunday 11 August at North Terrace campus and AHMS Building. As a result, there will be increased noise and activity in the lead-up and post event around the Benham building, Mawson building, Braggs building and Molecular Sciences building. The Village common area is available to book
University of Adelaide Village at 210 Grote Street is available for University staff to book for educational events. The venue, accommodating up to 100 people, includes a recreation room with a home entertainment theatre, PlayStation area, pool table, and table tennis. Email the Village for more information.
