This page is for all students

When your enrolment opens, add your courses one at a time, then check your timetable. Your class numbers are in Step 2: Plan your timetable.

Enrol in myEnrolment

Complete your enrolment checklist first

You can't enrol until it's done. In myEnrolment, open Complete my Checklist.

International students

Enrol online before you arrive if you can, or get help during Orientation Week. You must enrol before classes start.

Keep your study plan open while you enrol.

  1. Choose your study period. In Manage my Enrolment, pick the first study period on the list you made when planning your timetable. The default may be wrong.
  2. Add a course. Select Add Course, enter the Subject Area and Catalogue Number (or the Class Number) and select Search. Then choose your Option, Enrolment Class and any related classes.
  3. Check for warnings.
  4. Confirm and enrol. Select Confirm Selected Classes, then Enrol in Classes. Repeat for each course and study period.
  5. Check you're enrolled. Go to Manage my Enrolment. All your enrolled courses appear there.
  6. Check your timetable. Go to My Timetable and scroll through each week to make sure your timetable works for you. To change to a class at a different time, use the Swap in selected Course button.
You've finished the enrolment steps

Once you've checked each class against your study plan, there's nothing more to do. You can still add or swap classes until the enrol by date.

Common issues

Check that enrolment is open for your study period, it's not past the enrol by date and you don't have a Bad Financial Standing hold on your account. Still stuck? Contact Student Assist.

Go to Manage my Enrolment. All the classes you're enrolled in appear there, under their study period.

Choose another class. If none are available, request an override in myEnrolment (Help → Need an Override?).

If the course has reached its health and safety capacity limit, you can't request an override. Contact Student Assist for advice.

You're trying to enrol in a course above your level, for example a postgraduate course in an undergraduate degree. Postgraduate students can enrol in undergraduate courses, but must change Level to Undergraduate before searching. Think you should be allowed? Request an override in myEnrolment (Help → Need an Override?).

Check the class number and that you're in the right study period (select Change to switch). Postgraduate students adding an undergraduate or cross-listed course: change Level to Undergraduate, then search again. Why is my postgraduate course listed as undergraduate?

Check the right study period in your study plan's enrolment advice and on the course page, under Availability (see Step 2B: Build your timetable). To move a course, tick it, select Drop selected courses, Confirm Drop, then add it under the correct period.

Only Adelaide University staff can fix this. Contact Student Assist.

You have an outstanding balance. Pay it in full, then you can enrol.

FAQs

Yes. In myEnrolment, you can add or swap classes until the enrol by date, and drop courses without penalty until the census date. To take leave, transfer to another program or withdraw, see I want to go on leave or change my enrolment.

You can add or swap classes until the enrol by date. You can drop courses without penalty until the census date. Find the dates for your study period in the Academic calendar.

Drop a course before census and you'll get a full refund in most cases (Can I get a refund?). Drop it after census and you'll still be charged the full fee (Will I get charged?).
