Support for academic skills and integrity

Workshop and events program

The Student Academic Learning Support team offers group learning activities across the year to support your learning and develop the skills you need to succeed.

Our Learning Advisers and Academic Integrity Ambassadors, often working with academic and professional staff from across the University, run workshops and other events online and on campus to bring you together to learn with other students, develop your understanding of University expectations and engage confidently in your coursework.

Learning Advisers from the Student Academic Learning Support Team deliver a series of workshops on writing assignments, referencing, paraphrasing and more.

Check back here throughout semester for an updated schedule of activities.

Academic Integrity Skills staff and student leaders facilitate a number of workshops, pop-up events, interactive games, panel talks and other fun learning activities on campus and online to support students understanding of the Academic Integrity Policy and promote a culture of academic integrity across the University.

The team work with Student Academic Learning Support as well as academic and professional staff from the Library and the Colleges to provide workshops to help you develop confidence and skills and hear about other students’ experiences in topics including but not limited to:

  • Using Artificial Intelligence Ethically
  • Ethics, Integrity and the Australian Workplace
  • Enhancing Your Academic Performance with Academic Integrity

Academic Integrity Skills workshops take place across the year, including the highlight - Academic Integrity Awareness Week – a full weeklong program of activities, including information sessions, games and competitions.

Exam Busters

Exam revision session program

The Student Academic Learning Support team offers a huge program of exam revision sessions across the period leading up to exams at the end of semester 1 and 2.

Maths Learning Support and PASS (Peer Assisted Study Sessions) come together in SWOTVAC to present seminars covering mathematical courses and concepts shaped by student request, and peer-led group study sessions to help you make the most of your study time and feel confident going into your exams.

Maths Learning Support runs Exam Busters revision seminars for large maths courses before semester 1 and 2 exams. You can request topics before and during each session, so we focus on what you need most.

The Semester 2 timetable will be published soon. Visit the Revision Seminars page for previous video recordings.

As part of our Exam Busters program, PASS (Peer Assisted Study Sessions) Leaders facilitate large-scale study sessions for courses with exams. These peer-led revision sessions take place during SWOTVAC, and are a great way to structure and maximise your study time.

The Semester 2 timetable will be published soon.
