Free workshops, events and drop-in support

Student Academic Learning Support runs workshops, programs, pop-up events and drop-in sessions online and on campus throughout the year.

These are led by our Learning Advisers and Academic Integrity Ambassadors, often working with academic and professional staff from across the University. Together they'll help you learn alongside other students, understand University expectations and engage confidently in your coursework.

Academic Integrity Awareness Week 2026

Explore what academic integrity means and why it matters. Whether you’re new to university or near graduation, build confidence in making ethical decisions.

Join interactive activities across our campuses and online – pop-up stalls, workshops and a staff and industry panel on artificial intelligence (AI) in the workplace. Most sessions need no registration – just come along.

Academic Skills Workshops

Build your academic writing skills

Academic Skills Workshops are a free series open to all Adelaide University students. Whether you’re just getting started with your first assignment or looking to strengthen your academic writing, these workshops will help you develop practical skills and greater confidence.

Join us from Week 2 of Semester 2 to learn strategies for understanding assignments, planning and structuring your writing, and integrating sources with academic integrity.

On-campus workshops (1 hour) 

These workshops provide practical strategies to help you understand assignments, plan and structure your writing, and integrate sources effectively while maintaining academic integrity.

Each workshop runs four times throughout the semester. Dates, times and locations are provided when you register.

Online workshops (1 hour) 

These workshops explore key stages of the academic writing process. Together, they provide a comprehensive introduction to planning, writing and referencing at university. You’re encouraged to attend the full series.

Each workshop runs four times throughout the semester. Dates, times and Zoom links are provided when you register.

If English is an additional language for you, join ACE and master your academic communication skills for success at university. Open to all coursework students.

Learning Support Classroom

Drop-in support from teaching staff in your courses

The Learning Support Classroom (LSC) is a safe, inclusive space for scheduled drop-in sessions run by your course tutors, or quiet small-group study outside timetabled times.

LSC spaces are located at:

  • City East – Hub Central, Level 3 East (follow the zebra path from Student Assist, turn right at the first fork, then through the doorway)
  • City West – Yungondi Building, Level 1 East (turn left off North Terrace and head to the end of the atrium)
  • Mawson Lakes – Sir Eric Neal Library, Level 1 East (turn right at the front door and go as far as you can)

No appointment needed. Check the timetable below, come along at your course's scheduled time, and look for the table with your course name. Sessions may be added over time.

Exam Busters

Exam revision session program

The Student Academic Learning Support team offers a huge program of exam revision sessions across the period leading up to exams at the end of semester 1 and 2.

Maths Learning Support and PASS (Peer Assisted Study Sessions) come together in SWOTVAC to present seminars covering mathematical courses and concepts shaped by student request, and peer-led group study sessions to help you make the most of your study time and feel confident going into your exams.

Maths Learning Support runs Exam Busters revision seminars for large maths courses before semester 1 and 2 exams. You can request topics before and during each session, so we focus on what you need most.

As part of our Exam Busters program, PASS (Peer Assisted Study Sessions) Leaders facilitate large-scale study sessions for courses with exams. These peer-led revision sessions take place during SWOTVAC, and are a great way to structure and maximise your study time.
