Student voice - Surveys and feedback

Student voice - Get involved

How to share your student feedback

Your feedback matters. At Adelaide University, we run a range of surveys throughout the year to understand your academic, social, and campus life experiences and to make sure your voice is heard.

We offer both internal and national surveys, and submissions can be made anonymously, so you can share honest, open feedback without any concern about identification.

Why your feedback matters

When you take the time to respond, you're contributing to a continuous cycle of improvement. Your insights help us become aware of what's working and what isn't, listen meaningfully to the student experience, act on the things we can change, and improve the university for current and future students.

Need support before you submit?

You don't have to navigate this alone. Support and advice is available from:

Every month, Adelaide University students from metro, regional, online, international, and domestic backgrounds come together for our Student Engagement Forum (SEF) to review feedback from across the student community.

Why submit?

Whether you have a concern, an idea, or want to share what's working well, the Speak Up form makes sure your feedback doesn't go unheard. Your submission is reviewed by fellow students who discuss feedback through SEF. We act where we can, and where we can't, we work to improve for the future.

The form is open to every Adelaide University student, no matter your campus, location, or study mode.

Your privacy

Your identity will never be shared in SEF discussions, regardless of what details you choose to include. If you do provide your contact details, the Manager, Students as Partners will keep you updated on your feedback privately and confidentially.

If you have a concern, want to give feedback, or need to formally appeal a decision, the forms below will guide you to the right place

For feedback on courses and teaching, we encourage you to use the appropriate course and teaching evaluation surveys, which are also noted below.

For more information go to Feedback and complaints.

The Feedback on Learning Experience (FLEx) survey provides you with an opportunity to share constructive, valuable feedback about your experience in each of your courses at Adelaide University.

You are encouraged to participate as your opinions are important to us and help teachers, and the University, identify areas of excellence and those needing improvement. The FLEx survey opens two or three weeks before the end of teaching for each study period of the courses you engage with.

Your responses will remain anonymous in any reports generated for teaching staff and schools, but breaches of the Student Code of Conduct can lead to identification if necessary.

Adelaide University values student feedback and actively engages in national surveys that encompass the entire student journey, from application to post-graduation.

These national surveys are conducted by external research organisations, in compliance with the university's annual survey timetable and its ethics and privacy guidelines.

The Student Experience Survey (SES) is a comprehensive assessment of the higher education coursework experience in Australia. The SES is your opportunity to provide valuable feedback to improve courses and enhance the learning experience. The survey is voluntary, confidential, and administered by the Social Research Centre on behalf of the government. Invitations are extended to first and final-year students.

For more information go to Student Experience Survey (SES).

The Graduate Outcomes Survey (GOS) is completed by new graduates four to six months post completion of their studies. The scope of the GOS includes domestic and international graduates who completed their studies onshore, across undergraduate, postgraduate coursework and postgraduate research programs. The survey covers the employment and further study outcomes of graduates, as well as the graduate overall satisfaction with their program.

For more information go to Graduate Outcomes Survey (GOS).

The Graduate Outcomes Survey – Longitudinal (GOS-L) supplements the GOS by measuring medium-term outcomes, it is a follow-up component to the GOS that examines the outcomes of university graduates over a longer term. The GOS-L is administered three years after to graduates who have completed the GOS.

For more information go to Graduate Outcomes Survey – Longitudinal.
