Health and Wellbeing Promotion
Wellbeing isn’t one-size-fits-all. It’s about finding what works for you and exploring new ways to feel balanced, connected, and supported.
Health and Wellbeing Promotion is a service to help you explore, strengthen, and connect all facets of wellbeing, offering free, opportunities, tailored support, resources, and education so you can thrive at university and beyond.
Our work supports you to build your capacity while strengthening community awareness through practical knowledge and tools, helping to build a culture of care, connection, and shared responsibility.
Whether you’re looking for support, skills, connection, or ways to get involved, something is here for you.
Our initiatives are designed to support your health and wellbeing through a range of practical, evidence-based programs, resources, and opportunities.
More information will be coming soon, so keep an eye out here for what is coming up next and stay up to date through AU student social media channels and student news.
We’ve got you sorted! All students can access free condoms, lube and HIV self-testing kits.
Sex should always be respectful, consensual, and pleasurable. Being informed about consent, contraception, and STI prevention can help you feel confident and as safe as possible.
We’ve got you sorted! All students can access free Safer Sex Packs, which include condoms and lube, at Adelaide University Student Union (AUSA) Pantry locations across campuses. Specific locations will be announced soon via the Student Union Pantry website.
Condoms help prevent STIs and unintended pregnancy, while lube reduces friction, making sex safer and more comfortable for everyone. These resources are available to all students.
Free HIV self-testing kits are also available at the following four locations through the CONNECT program:
- City East Union House, Student Lounge Level 4 (UH419)
- City East, Hub Central, Level 3, Near AUSA Vending Machines (next to Flenjte Lecture Theatre 3029)
- City West Campus, Catherine Helen Spence Building, Student Lounge
- Mawson Lakes Campus, Building A (A1-A5), Student Lounge

No student should have to choose between period products and other basic needs.
Caught out? Struggling to choose between period products and other essentials?
Adelaide University is committed to ending period poverty and supporting menstrual health and dignity for all students. Access to free period products helps remove financial and emotional barriers, allowing students to stay focused on their studies without the stress of unexpected periods or the cost of essential products.
In partnership with Taboo, we are working to provide free, organic pads and tampons through dispensers located in toilets across all campuses, just as it should be.
This program is currently in development, with a planned launch in mid-2026. We’re working hard behind the scenes to make this initiative available as soon as possible. More information about locations, access details, and updates will be available soon.
