To provide students with the methods, conceptual foundations, practices, and skills necessary to function in the property investment and institutional property markets.

Course learning outcomes

  • Critically review and apply appropriate models for evaluating investment decisions
  • Critically analyse the various methods of financing property investments
  • Identify and evaluate the risk-return tradeoffs in property investments
  • Construct and evaluate portfolios of different asset classes
  • Manage the risk of property investments using modern portfolio techniques
  • Apply analytical problem-solving and communication skills to evaluate property investment scenarios and present evidence-based recommendations to stakeholders.
