Pathways to study, skills and opportunity in Playford
Through our partnership with Uni Hub Playford, Adelaide University Pathways College offers a supportive, flexible, and locally accessible entry point to university study - delivered right on-site so students can learn close to home without the need to travel.
Delivered by Pathways College academics, this collaboration uses our enabling education approach. Rather than treating a lack of prior university experience as a gap to close, we start from what students already bring – their unique knowledge, motivation, and life experience – to build academic confidence. For those who may not have considered university an option, Foundation Studies offers a clear and attainable way into university, embedded in the local community in Adelaide’s northern suburbs.
Tailored program delivery
The Pathways College offers a tailored suite of three core Foundation Studies courses delivered directly at Uni Hub Playford. These units provide the essential academic skills, confidence, and critical capabilities needed to transition successfully into a degree, further training, or employment:
- Introduction to Academic Writing: Develop the foundational communication, structure, and expression skills needed for clear and confident academic writing.
- Numeracy and Problem Solving: Build critical mathematical capabilities, analytical reasoning, and practical, evidence-based inquiry to address complex problems.
- Critical Thinking: Media and Academia: Learn to analyse complex information, question assumptions, and confidently evaluate contemporary media and academic research.
Why choose this pathway?
Fee-free tuition: The program is fee-free for eligible domestic students, so there are no upfront costs to get started.
No ATAR required: Open access entry means your past results do not decide your future.
Flexible local study: Study close to home and balance it with work, family and other commitments.
Direct degree entry: Finish Foundation Studies and move into a wide range of Adelaide University undergraduate degrees.
